Dom O’Reilly is a second generation winemaker, raised in the cellars of Owen Roe in the Willamette and Yakima Valleys, where he made his first commercial wines at a very young age. As a young adult, he worked under Adam Tolmach as assistant winemaker at The Ojai Vineyard, where he studied California wines made in a European style, and honed his skills of tasting and understanding various winemaking techniques. Dom also consulted in Australia at Kilikanoon the same year James Halliday awarded them winery of the year, and at Isabel Estate in Marlborough, New Zealand. He was head winemaker at Topa Mountain Winery until moving on to start his own brands, including Doctor’s Orders.
